Lori Spencer, M.D., Ph.D.

Lori A. Spencer, M.D., Ph.D., joined Premier Dermatology and Cosmetic Surgery in July of 2008. She is a board-certified Dermatologist. A Pittsburgh native, she graduated Summa Cum Laude with Biological Sciences Departmental Honors from the University of Pittsburgh in 1996. She entered the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine’s Medical Scientist Training Program and was awarded her Ph.D. in Immunology in May 2002 and her M.D. in May 2004. She completed her internship at the Western Pennsylvania Hospital and her Dermatology Residency training at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine Department of Dermatology. She finished her final year of residency as an academic fellow focusing on diseases of the hair and nails, and her completed project was published as a research letter in the March 2009 Archives of Dermatology. Since then, she has been featured in the Delaware News Journal’s Health Section, discussing the various causes and treatments of alopecia in women. You may also have seen her in The News Journal’s Sunday Style Files in August 2014, just a week before the birth of her twin girls.

At Premier Dermatology and Cosmetic Surgery, she sees general dermatology patients of all ages but also enjoys dermatologic surgery and cosmetic procedures including Botox, fillers, lasers, and sclerotherapy. She is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, the Delaware Academy of Dermatology, and the Philadelphia Dermatologic Society. She also enjoys and welcomes opportunities for teaching, mentoring, and lecturing residents at local and university hospitals, as well as giving educational lectures on skin disease out in the community.

In her free time, she enjoys cooking, running, and spending time with her pets and her family.
