Michael Rooney is a board certified physician assistant licensed in the states of Delaware and Pennsylvania. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in psychology from the University of Pittsburgh. He went on to earn his Master of Medical Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Arcadia University.
Prior to joining Premier Dermatology, he worked at multiple urgent care centers across the states of Delaware and Pennsylvania.
Michael is trained in many fields of dermatology, but his passion lies with skin cancer prevention, detection, and treatment. He is highly skilled in his ability to diagnose skin cancers at an early stage and is experienced in treatment using minor surgical procedures. He is also trained in wound management and placement of skin substitute products in collaboration with our plastic surgeons.
Outside of work,Michael enjoys spending time with his wife, children, and golden retriever. He enjoys traveling, is an avid golfer, and has a deep obsession with all things sports.
